| Looking for help on the waiver wire? We look at players owned in less than 50% of Yahoo leagues and list those that might be able to help you out. | ||||
| Name | TM | Pos | % Owned | Comments |
| Derek Anderson | CLE | QB | 6% | Started Week 4 instead of Brady Quinn and posted 269 Yds, 1 TD, 1 INT. He looked to be much more in command than Quinn and could help this offense improve. |
| Kyle Orton | DEN | QB | 46% | Averaging 227 yards and 1 TD through 4 games. Orton hasn't been spectacular, but he has been pretty consistent and could serve well as a QB2 or bench depth. |
| Jason Campbell | WAS | QB | 42% | Threw 3 picks in Week 4. He is not a reliable option at this point. |
| Shaun Hill | SFO | QB | 26% | Has thrown 2 TD passes each of the last 2 weeks. Unfortunately, he's only averaging 175 yards passing in this run-heavy, defensive minded system. |
| Chad Henne | MIA | QB | 5% | Only threw for 115 YDS and 1 TD in his 1st week as the starter. Has potential to open up the deep passing game of the Dolphins as the season progresses. |
| Kerry Collins | TEN | QB | 24% | He continues to post solid fantasy numbers, but the team is losing and the pressure to hand the starting job to Vince Young is building. |
| Matthew Stafford | DET | QB | 14% | Solid Week 4 with 296 Yds, 1 TD, 1 INT. Watch his injury status as he left the game with a knee injury (believed to have been dislocated). |
| Jake Delhomme | CAR | QB | 26% | Not worth the roster spot at this point. Wait to see what he does coming off the bye this week. |
| Josh Johnson | TBB | QB | 5% | Didn't do much in his first week as the starter ( 106 Yds, 1 TD, 1 INT) |
| Rashard Mendenhall | PIT | RB | 43% | Mendenhall exploded during Week 4 as he replaced injured RB Willie Parker in the starting lineup. Even if Parker is healthy, Mendenhall's performance likely earns him a spot in the running back committee. |
| Jerome Harrison | CLE | RB | 22% | Harrison ran for 121 yards and caught 5 passes for an additional 31 yards during Week 4 action while filling in for the injured Jamal Lewis. If Lewis' hamstring continues to cause him to miss time, Harrison could be productive. When Lewis returns, there will be pressure to get Harrison more touches. |
| Michael Bush | OAK | RB | 22% | Bush had been splitting carries with now injured RB Darren McFadden (out 3 or 4 weeks). Bush is now expected to split carries with Justin Fargas. Still, his role could increase. |
| LeSean McCoy | PHI | RB | 46% | McCoy is a must have for Westbrook owners. Also, he may get more touches even if Westbrook is healthy based on his performance in Week 3. He's coming off a bye in Week 4 and could help you out this week if you have injury or bye week issues. |
| Beanie Wells | ARI | RB | 43% | Wells is coming off the bye week and you can bet he has been working on ball security. If he can overcome those issues, his role will increase with the Cardinals. |
| Jamal Lewis | CLE | RB | 46% | His value takes a hit due to sitting out Week 4 with an injury. Jerome Harrison filled in very capably. Still, Lewis is the starter at this point. If you are in a deep league or you're desperate for RB depth, stash him on your bench. |
| Ahmad Bradshaw | NYG | RB | 49% | 64 Yds rushing in week 4. Consistently getting 10 touches a game. Could serve as bench depth or bye week help. His value increases dramatically if Brandon Jacobs were to get injured. |
| Fred Taylor | NEP | RB | 43% | Big week in Week 3, modest Week 4. Can't count on consistent production, but he could help you out of a bye week jam. |
| Correll Buckhalter | DEN | RB | 44% | Buckhalter has been quietly putting together a solid year. However, he was seen after last week's game on crutches. Check out his status. |
| Justin Fargas | OAK | RB | 4% | With Darren McFadden's injury, Fargas will see an increased role along with Michael Bush. Bush will likely see the larger number of touches, but Fargas could get some goal line opportunities (if Oakland ever sniffs the goal line). |
| Tashard Choice | DAL | RB | 49% | Felix Jones will continue to miss time in Week 5 and choice will likely get 10 - 15 touches. |
| Mike Bell | NOS | RB | 27% | Bell will reportedly be back from injury this week. While Pierre Thomas has solidified his role as the starter, Bell may be worth keeping an eye on as Thomas' handcuff. |
| Mohamed Massaquoi | CLE | WR | 4% | Massaquoi was targeted a whopping 13 times for 8 catches and 148 yards. Massaquoi and QB Derek Anderson have had a lot of reps together working on the 2nd team and showed good chemistry. Update: Braylon Edwards has been traded away to the NY Jets, opening the door of opportunity wider for Massaquoi. He will now have Chansi Stuckey (acquired from the Jets) in the mix, but that shouldn't hurt his chances too much. |
| Donnie Avery | STL | WR | 41% | Avery saw a slight up-tick in his performance with 3 catches for 47 yards. He was coming on strong at the end of last season, but missed time early this season due to injury. This may be a sign of him regaining some of that promise shown last year. |
| Nate Washington | TEN | WR | 30% | Washington had 7 catches for 66 yards and 1 TD during Week 4. He is a reliable target in the red zone and has scored in each of the past 3 weeks. |
| Anthony Gonzalez | IND | WR | 39% | If you can afford rostering Gonzalez and letting him sit for a few weeks while he continues to recovery from injury, he's available in most leagues. Remember, he's a guy that was projected to do great things this season. Granted, he will have to earn the targets that are now going to Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon. But, he has the talent to do it. The question (and it's a big one) is when will he return and how will he look when he gets back? |
| Sidney Rice | MIN | WR | 14% | Rice had 5 catches for 70 yards and 1 TD during Week 4. We don't think that kind of production will happen on a consistent basis. Few teams will stop the Vikings running game like the Packers did. That will mean that repeats of games like this Week 4 contest are unlikely. |
| Chaz Schilens | OAK | WR | 1% | Keep an eye on Schilens this week. He has been out with injury, but was developing good chemistry with QB Russell (I know, I know - he's been terrible) during the off-season. If Schilens is able to get on the field this week and shows some positive things, he could be a good addition in PPR leagues. |
| Bo Scaife | TEN | TE | 9% | Scaife is back from injury. He had 3 catches for 25 yards in Week 4. Look for his production to increase as he re-acclimates. |
| Brandon Pettigrew | DET | TE | 10% | Pettigrew was targeted 10 times during Week 4. That led to 4 catches for 64 yards. |
